Cantina Cà dei Conti – History
Our roots.
Welcome to Tregnago, in the splendid Val d’Illasi, in the heart of the eastern Valpolicella DOC area, where the Rancan family dedicates itself with passion and dedication to the cultivation of the land. It is here that the Cà dei Conti agricultural company came to life, founded in 2006 by the brothers Renzo and Loredana, eager to renew the ancient local tradition of making good wine with full respect for the grapes, the territory and those who live there.
The work begins in the vineyards, with Fabio, an expert and eclectic winemaker, ancient varieties are restored, characterized by low yields but of inestimable value, such as Croatina and Oseleta. In 2010, the first vintage was presented and the result leaves no doubt: despite the difficulties, the path is the right one.
The philosophy that guides the Cà dei Conti agricultural company is to produce high quality wines, adopting artisanal and sustainable cultivation and harvesting methods. Attention to nature and the environment translates into the use of native grapes, which have adapted perfectly to the territory, showing extraordinary resistance to parasites. This allows us to drastically reduce the use of pesticides and completely eliminate the use of machinery for their spreading.
“TANO” organic Amarone DOC is one of our flagship jewels. Obtained from native grapes grown with certified organic methods, this wine expresses all the passion and authenticity of the territory. Its complex and enveloping notes offer a unique tasting experience, capable of conquering even the most demanding palates.
Our commitment to the environment is also reflected in the “Slow Wine” recognition we have obtained. This prestigious brand attests to our commitment to cultivating and producing wines respecting nature and with particular attention to local traditions.
Cà dei Conti is an active member of Fivi, a federation that brings together independent winemakers who share a passion for organic and sustainable agriculture. Our membership of this producer network means that our organic wine is guaranteed by rigorous ethics and a shared commitment to quality and authenticity. Our use of pest-resistant Piwi grape varieties is testament to our ongoing commitment to innovation and sustainability.
Our wine stands out for its elegant and complex structure, obtained thanks to careful vinification and refinement work. Each of our bottles brings with it the history and passion of a family that has been dedicated to the art of wine production for generations.
We are pleased to invite you to a tasting at our cellar, where you can discover the essence of our wines and immerse yourself in the beauty of the landscapes that surround us. Let yourself be transported on a unique sensorial journey, where history, tradition and passion come together in every sip.
